The next decade is the window for Western Australia to build a sustainable satellite manufacturing capability. The global space economy is forecast to reach US$1.8 trillion by 2035, growing at roughly 9% per annum. WA already has nearly a decade of home-grown small-satellite engineering through the Binar Space Program. The opportunity is no longer hypothetical.

What we're building

We are working with Curtin University's Binar Space Program on the data-platform design for their next mission. Our role: the systems that ingest, process, store and present satellite telemetry — so the science, the operations team, and downstream stakeholders can all work from a single source of truth.

Telemetry ingest

High-throughput ingest from ground stations into a structured, queryable archive. Built for satellite-rate data, not retrofitted from a CRM.

Mission operations dashboards

Real-time situational awareness for mission ops: spacecraft health, pass schedules, anomaly detection, with the audit trail mission-grade work demands.

Long-term archive & analysis

A durable, searchable mission archive that lets researchers and operators interrogate years of telemetry without rebuilding the platform every cycle.

We are not building a one-shot mission tool. We are building the data backbone for a WA satellite capability that scales.

What we're working towards

The Binar Space Program has flown four WA-built small satellites (Binar-1 through Binar-4) over nearly a decade of mission experience. The next step discussed in the WA space sector is a larger, more capable platform — one that could carry more advanced payloads, target satellite-constellation customers, and underpin a long-term WA satellite manufacturing capability. The longer-term ambition is for Binar to grow into a Western-Australian-headquartered commercial satellite capability — a trajectory we believe in and are designing data infrastructure to support.
