Remote Support, 80 km from Exmouth
This was the craziest remote support call I have ever taken.
It was 3 pm on a public holiday. I was camping off-grid, 80 km out of Exmouth, when a client called. They had a problem and needed it fixed urgently.
“Alright... I'll pull out the laptop.”
A laptop, Starlink, and half an hour
Good thing the Starlink was on.
Thirty minutes later, the problem was fixed. I put the laptop away and went walking along Ningaloo Reef.
It was a small reminder of what a working connection makes possible. On this trip, it meant I could help a client without leaving camp, then get back to my holiday.
Thank you, SpaceX. Thank you, Elon.
